CurriculumThe curriculum at Acacia College is designed to ensure that students receive a solid grounding in all essential areas of learning before they begin choosing curriculum options and learning pathways that reflect their individual goals and interests.Within the curriculum, our students learn to take increasing responsibility for their physical well-being, their learning, their relationships with others, and their role as citizens of their local, national and global communities. We encourage them to have open minds, to think deeply and to question. They are taught skills in vital areas such as problem-solving, communicating, and the use of information and communication technologies. Learning comes more easily when students are stimulated and inspired. We aim to excite their interest and engender a lifelong curiosity about the complex and rapidly changing world in which they live. We also seek to instil in our students a desire and a determination to use their knowledge and skills in ways that contribute positively to the future of our world. |
